Start To Finish Roof Coating Process
Curious what the step-by-step process looks like to install a new roof coating on your home or commercial business? While every home, roof, and customer are unique, the following steps are what you can expect during the process with Supershield:
Our team will thoroughly inspect the entire roof surface. This step is critical in determining the current condition of the roof and the work that will need to be complete.
Upon examination, to properly prep for application we will pressure wash the area.
For flat roofs, the Super Shield product is a 2-step application process. Step 1 starts with applying the roof primer. This is a highly adhesive waterproofing primer that will adhere to just about any roof material.
Step 2 then involves applying “flat coat”. This is a ceramic acrylic elastomeric coating that is applied twice to create a 14 mil (DTF) barrier to protect against leaks and mold.
For sloped roofs, we have a single step process. “Roof One Coat” is a self-priming ceramic elastomeric coating, ideal for one coat coverage and protection. One Coat offers great adhesion without the need of a separate primer. The coating forms a thick rubber-like membrane that seals out water and expands and contracts with temperature changes and building movement.
Lastly, when the job is done - our team will always clean up our work. You’ll never even know we were there!
